2.7.4 The institution provides instruction for all course work required for at least one degree program at each level at which it awards degrees. If the institution does not provide instruction for all such course work and (1) makes arrangements for some instruction to be provided by other accredited institutions or entities through contracts or consortia or (2) uses some other alternative approach to meeting this requirement, the alternative approach must be approved by the Commission on Colleges. In both cases, the institution demonstrates that it controls all aspects of its educational program. (Course work for Degrees)

Summary

Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is in compliance with this core requirement. Furthermore, the College demonstrates that it controls all aspects of its educational programs.

Narrative

Fayetteville Technical Community College provides instruction for all course work required within its associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. This is evidenced through the College’s approved programs of study.

The College participates in several instructional agreements and contracts with various institutions and/or entities. However, FTCC does not offer any programs that rely upon a collaborative agreement and/or consortia relationship for the full or partial completion of the program’s requirements for graduation. FTCC retains full control over the quality of programs at the associate, diploma, and certificate levels. The College is in full compliance with this core requirement, maintains strict control over the quality of programs, and ensures all associate, diploma, and certificate levels of instruction are annually assessed. Additionally, academic program faculty and staff conduct an annual program review which is maintained in the WEAVEonline® document repository.
